What Is Personal Injury?
Many types of personal injuries can be frightening and life-changing. We understand that people who have experienced these traumatic events need care, assistance, and someone they can trust to get them through their hardships. Our attorneys can help you file what is known as a personal injury claim so you can hold the person or entity who caused your injuries responsible for their wrongdoing.
Attorney Handling Personal Injury Claims in Utah and Nationally
Free Consultations Statewide
At the law office of Jeff Metler, your injury attorney, we treat each case with the highest level of integrity and care possible to help you begin the healing process. Insurance companies want you to believe that they will take care of everything and that you don’t need an attorney. The truth is they have been trained to size you up and offer you the lowest possible settlement they think you will take. These amounts usually won’t cover the long-term care necessary to treat your injury, not to mention the loss of income and pain and suffering.
You deserve the advice and proper perspective of how to best handle your personal injury case. If you need an auto accident attorney or have suffered any type of personal injury, contact us and we can evaluate your case for free and help you make an educated and informed decision so you can get on with your life.

Helping Clients with Catastrophic Injuries
Jeff Metler and his team also have experience representing clients who are suffering from severe, or catastrophic injuries. Catastrophic injuries are long-term and permanent, which can lead to hefty medical bills and high costs of care.
One major example is a spinal cord injury. When the vertebrae on the spinal cord are shattered after a jolt, heavy blow, or penetration in an accident, the nerve endings are exposed and can be permanently damaged. As a result, many individuals with spinal cord injuries develop paralysis that will confine them to wheelchairs for the rest of their lives.

Is There a Deadline to File a Claim in Utah?
Unfortunately, victims don’t have all the time in the world to file a personal injury or mass torts claim and recover damages. Each state has what is known as a statute of limitations, or a deadline to file a claim. In Utah, individuals have as little as two years and as much as four years from the date of injury to file their case based on the state’s statute of limitations. If you fail to file your claim within the appropriate timeframe, the court will refuse to hear it and you’ll lose out on receiving the compensation you need.
If you have suffered a personal injury, please contact Jeff Metler today for a free consultation. He and his team can help get you through this difficult time and fight to receive the compensation and justice that you deserve.
